Native to tropical Asia, especially Indonesia and the Philippines, this tall tropical tree’s flowers are used in making this essential oil. The scent is intensely sweet, soft, floral-balsamic, and slightly spicy.
Victorians used it as Macassar, a hair growth tonic. Also used to treat insect bites, and is thought to have. a regulating affect on cardiac and respiratory rhythm.
