Cajeput is from a large evergreen shrub native to France that grows about 10 feet high, and bears hazelnut-sized brownish-black berries. The oil is extracted by steam from the shavings or chips of heartwood and branches.
Properties: Analgesic, antimicrobial, antipruritic, antiseptic, disinfectant, parasiticide, vermifuge.
Uses: Treatment of cutaneous diseases, such as eczema, parasites, scalp disease, hair loss, etc. Also used as antiseptic and for toothaches.
